Glossary of TEFL Acronyms

KWIC - Keywords in Context: Pronounced like quick. Within the areas of text analysis, KWIC refers to a way of displaying the words in a text so that particular words (the keywords) are listed in the middle column, with a certain amount of context on either side. KWIC displays are also called concordances, and are generated by concordancing software.
