Glossary of TEFL Acronyms

SIG - Special Interest Group: SIGs are generally sub-groups of larger organizations. SIGs cater to their members' specific interests, focusing on such areas as technology in language education, gender awareness, pronunciation, and so on. This acronym is said as one word, the same as the first syllable of "significant."
