DVD and Video

Our shopping section for video and DVDs contains information about Japan's format standards, with links to relevant vendors. The standards for Japan are, in a nutshell, TV format is NTSC, DVD format is Region 2 encoding, video format is VHS. Videos from North America work fine in Japan, but DVD compatibility can be tricky.
